Our
Story

Cutting through the chaos of youth basketball.

Every club promises development. Every trainer online has the answer. But somewhere between the highlight reels and the travel schedules, parents and players across Utah are left wondering if they’re doing any of this right.

Ask yourself:

  • How many teams should my child really be on?
  • How many games is too many, and what really causes burnout?
  • What are the fundamentals my child actually needs to learn?
  • Are they practicing proper technique, or just practicing bad habits?

We get it. We lived it. We have the answers. This was never just about basketball. It’s about learning to handle life through the game. We’re here to cut through the chaos and give every player and every family across Utah exactly what they’ve been missing: clarity, direction, and a real path forward.

We always knew this was bigger than basketball. United Athletics Association exists to prove it.

One Team, One Mission

Together, we built our first basketball training facility in 2020 and grew rapidly over the next three years. By 2023, we were operating Club Utah programs across multiple locations in Salt Lake County, Utah County, and Davis County, impacting thousands of families. We were fulfilling our mission: helping players and families understand accountability, hard work, and giving clear direction on youth player development.

In 2023, we encountered real adversity. A former partner went to prison for embezzlement. The fallout was severe, and we nearly lost everything. In that moment of difficulty, we fell back on our core principles: accountability, perseverance, and hard work. These are the same principles we teach our players every day. We decided to stick together and rebuild.

From 2023 to 2026, we retooled everything from the ground up. We recognized a fundamental problem in Utah youth basketball: players were forced to play for two teams simultaneously, their school’s feeder program and a club team. It was expensive, chaotic, and bad for players. Too many teams. Too many games. Too many voices. Not enough time to actually get better. So we pivoted our entire model. Instead of competing with high schools, we partnered with them. One system. One team. Professional development structure, professional coaching, real accountability, all working directly alongside the school. Players got clarity. Families got affordability. High schools got a sustainable youth basketball academy program.

Our first partnership was with Bingham High School in South Jordan, where we created Valley Basketball. From there we expanded to Cyprus High School in West Valley, forming Granite Valley, and Mt. Ridge High School in Herriman, forming Southridge. Alongside our independent Club Utah locations in Lehi and Syracuse, we had built something that no single club could contain. We needed an association to unite every location, every partnership, and every community under one mission.

That’s when United Athletics Association was born. A nonprofit dedicated to scaling this youth basketball development model across Utah, making clarity, structure, and real coaching accessible to every family regardless of their zip code.
